As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the newly formed Project for 9/11 Truth and Accountability is pleased to release the outline of its forthcoming 9/11 Truth and Accountability Report.
The Project was formed earlier this year following U.S. Senator Ron Johnson’s invitation to submit a report on 9/11 to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. The Project’s purpose is to pursue legislative and legal means of establishing a complete, accurate, and evidence-based account of the events of September 11, 2001, and to advance appropriate measures for achieving justice and accountability.
Drawing on 25 years of research, the report we are preparing will provide a comprehensive accounting of what did and did not happen on 9/11 — to the extent that the evidence allows — and will lay the informational foundation for a new investigation with meaningful legal powers.
The report will be a living document that we will update annually. Thus, it will serve as a vehicle for continued citizen-led investigation and accounting of 9/11 as well as expanded public education and advocacy.
The outline released today provides a preview of the report’s scope and the extensive body of evidence it will examine. We aim to publish the full report later this year.
We believe that the remarkable efforts of victims’ family members and thousands of researchers and advocates over the past 25 years can ultimately lead to genuine truth and accountability. Through this report and the advocacy that accompanies it, we will work tirelessly toward that goal.
