We’re excited to announce that the Complete 9/11 Timeline — one of the most valuable tools ever created for researching the events of 9/11 — is now live on the International Center for 9/11 Justice website.
For years, this extensive, searchable database was available on the History Commons website, where it became an essential resource for researchers, journalists, and concerned citizens.
Compiled by Paul Thompson and other dedicated volunteers, the timeline pieces together thousands of mainstream news reports, government records, and public sources to document, with remarkable clarity and detail, what happened before, during, and after 9/11.
Described by the late Dr. David Ray Griffin as “the greatest feat of annotated, investigative journal indexing ever achieved on a volunteer basis,” the timeline formed the basis of Thompson’s 2004 book The Terror Timeline, published by HarperCollins.
After being offline for several years, the timeline is available once again — now hosted and maintained by IC911. Its restoration represents a major step forward in preserving and promoting critical 9/11 research.
We encourage you to explore this indispensable resource. And please spread the news that the Complete 9/11 Timeline is back!
As always, we welcome your feedback. Note that internal links within the timeline are not active at this point and that many external links to sources are no longer available.
