Ted Walter

Ted Walter moved to New York City two weeks before 9/11 and was a mere 15 minutes into his first class at NYU when the North Tower of the World Trade Center was struck. Although he had lingering doubts from the very beginning, it wasn’t until 2006 that he began to critically examine the events of that day. Ever since, he has been a tireless advocate for 9/11 justice.

His passion for the issue led him to join the New York City 9/11 Ballot Initiative as a canvass director in 2008. That position morphed into his role as director of the New York City Coalition for Accountability Now (NYC CAN), where he helped steer the ballot initiative through its second phase in 2009 and then mounted a number of advocacy and public awareness campaigns in 2010 and 2011. In 2010, Ted moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a master of public policy from the University of California, Berkeley. After returning to New York City in 2014 and attempting a second ballot initiative with NYC CAN, Ted landed at Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth), where he served for eight years as director of strategy and development.

During his time at AE911Truth, Ted authored numerous articles and other publications, most notably Beyond Misinformation, World Trade Center Physics, and AE911Truth’s 2020 “request for correction” of the NIST WTC 7 report. He also oversaw an AE911Truth-funded computer modeling study of WTC 7’s collapse by researchers at University of Alaska Fairbanks, produced several short videos and feature-length films, and led various strategic initiatives such as the ongoing effort to open a new inquest into the death of British 9/11 victim Geoff Campbell. Along with these major projects, he managed AE911Truth’s regular communications and fundraising operations.

In early 2023, Ted joined with the trailblazing founders of the International Center for 9/11 Studies, the Journal of 9/11 Studies, and the 9/11 Consensus Panel to consolidate the foundational work of all three organizations and relaunch the Center as the International Center for 9/11 Justice. The goal of the Center today is to organize and preserve the best 9/11 research of the past two decades and forge the next chapter in the worldwide pursuit of 9/11 justice. As its first major project, the Center released in September 2023 the feature documentary Peace, War and 9/11, which Ted produced and co-directed.

Ted has lived in the New York area for most of the past 23 years — the latter few with his wife and daughter in the beautiful Hudson Valley. He dedicates his work to the many 9/11 family members he has been honored to partner with over the past 15 years and to the memory of their loved ones who perished on 9/11.

Piers Robinson

Dr. Piers Robinson (PhD, MSc, BA Hons) has 25 years of experience researching and writing about international politics, communications, and propaganda.

He obtained his PhD at the University of Bristol in 2000, authoring a ground-breaking study The CNN Effect: the myth of news, foreign policy and intervention, published in 2002 by Routledge. His first academic post in 1999 was as lecturer in Political Communication at the University of Liverpool. From 2005 to 2016 he was lecturer, then senior lecturer, in International Politics at the University of Manchester. In 2016, he was appointed full professor and chair in Politics, Society and Political Journalism at the University of Sheffield.

Since leaving Sheffield in 2019, Piers has been involved in the development of a number of initiatives relating to the study of propaganda, including the Organisation for Propaganda Studies, the Working Group on Syria, Media and Propaganda, the Working Group on Propaganda and the 9/11 Global ‘War on Terror’, and, in 2022, the online journal Propaganda in Focus. He is currently working alongside Ambassador José Bustani (first Director General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons), Dr. Hans-C. von Sponeck, and Professor Richard Falk as part of the Berlin Group 21, which is representing issues raised by OPCW scientists regarding the manipulation of chemical weapons investigations in Syria.

Across the course of his academic career, Piers has published many articles in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Communication, Review of International Studies, Political Science Quarterly, European Journal of Communication, Political Studies, and Critical Sociology. In addition, he is lead author of the article “Pockets of Resistance: British news media, war and theory in the 2003 invasion of Iraq” (Manchester University Press, 2010) and co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Media, Conflict and Security (2016). He has also served as an editor of Critical Studies in Terrorism (Routledge) and on the advisory board of a number of academic journals. During his career, Piers has received many invitations to lecture and advise. He has lectured at the NATO Defense College in Rome and at the St. Cyer military academy in France and has given presentations/briefings at the University of Oxford to UK senior military commanders and diplomats. He has given public talks for Stop the War Coalition, Frome Stop the War, and Media on Trial. He is also active on X (formerly Twitter) and writes on Substack.

In the last four years, both 9/11 and COVID-19 have become a central research concern for Piers. In particular, he has analyzed the propaganda surrounding these events and their role as “structural deep events” (a term coined by Peter Dale Scott). In 2022, for example, he was invited to present at the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), examining the COVID-19 response and the role of propaganda and media. His work on COVID-19 led to his involvement as an executive committee member of PANDA (formerly Pandata and Analytics). And, since 2023, he has served as a board member and, as of January 2024, as research director of the International Center for 9/11 Justice and co-editor of the Journal of 9/11 Studies.

James Gourley
Founder

James Gourley is an attorney with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He has authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific articles on 9/11 and was editor of the 9/11 Toronto Report, which is the final report of the International Hearings on the Events of September 11, 2001 (commonly known as the Toronto Hearings), held on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

James founded the International Center for 9/11 Studies in 2008 as a nonprofit dedicated to investigating, researching, and educating the public about the 9/11 attacks. Over the ensuing years, the Center spearheaded a number of initiatives that advanced public understanding of the events. See the Who We Are page of this website for a brief summary of those initiatives.

More recently, James drafted an ethics complaint filed in 2018 by authors Richard Johns and Tony Szamboti against editors of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Journal of Engineering Mechanics. The complaint alleged that the editors wrongfully rejected as “out of scope” Johns and Szamboti’s discussion paper on the destruction of the Twin Towers, which was critiquing a paper that had just been published in the journal. In August 2023, after a nearly five-year process, the ASCE’s Executive Committee unanimously dismissed the case despite overwhelming evidence that the editors had clear conflicts of interest and violated multiple canons of the ASCE’s Code of Ethics. The case documents are now available in the Letters section of the Journal of 9/11 Studies.

James looks forward to this next chapter in the mission of the International Center for 9/11 Studies, now relaunched as the International Center for 9/11 Justice.

David Chandler

David Chandler has a Bachelor’s degree in physics, a Master’s degree in education, and another Master’s degree in mathematics. He taught physics and mathematics at the high school and undergraduate college levels from 1972 until 2012 and also worked as a freelance programmer, product designer, and entrepreneur along the way.

When asked, “How did you get involved with the 9/11 Truth Movement?” David’s standard reply is, “It started back in the early 1980’s.” He cites his involvement with the “Sanctuary Movement,” through his church, sheltering refugees from El Salvador and Guatemala, who had been targeted by U.S.-backed death squads, as the experience that showed him the cruelty of U.S. foreign policy and disabused him of any sense of “American Exceptionalism.”

Since 2007, David has been actively researching the scientific aspects of 9/11. For a number of years, he volunteered with Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth and served on its board of directors. He is currently the coordinator of Scientists for 9/11 Truth in addition to serving on the board of the International Center for 9/11 Justice.

David is best known for his research into the dynamics of the World Trade Center building collapses — which is documented in the many analytical videos he produced and narrated as well as in papers — and for forcing the National Institute of Standards and Technology to admit that WTC 7 underwent more than two seconds of absolute free fall. He has also extensively studied the attack on the Pentagon and looks forward to participating in a productive scientific discussion with authors of various viewpoints on this topic in the Center’s “Debated Topics Forum.”

Marilyn Langlois

Marilyn Langlois is a longtime member of the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance and of TRANSCEND, an international network for peaceful conflict transformation founded by Norwegian peace researcher Johan Galtung. A community organizer and international solidarity activist based in Richmond, California, she is a co-founder of the Richmond Progressive Alliance, member of Haiti Action Committee and board member of Task Force on the Americas. She is retired from her previous employment as a teacher, secretary, administrator, mediator and community advocate in the Richmond mayor’s office. Her key interests are reining in the super-rich and uplifting the poor by shedding light on suppressed truths to counter propaganda that serves the unjust status quo. Her writings can be found at TRANSCEND Media Service, where she is a guest editorialist.

Marilyn’s daughter was a college student in New York City on 9/11 and lived just a few blocks away from the World Trade Center. She was forced to flee through the dust and chaos that enveloped Lower Manhattan and was unable to return to her dorm for weeks.

Kevin Ryan

Kevin Ryan has worked as a chemist and laboratory manager for nearly thirty years. As a manager at Underwriters Laboratories (UL) he began, in 2003, to question the World Trade Center investigation being conducted by UL and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Kevin lost his position at UL for making his questions public and, in the summer of 2006, joined the newly formed Journal of 9/11 Studies as co-editor, a position he holds to this day.

Kevin has authored or co-authored many articles on 9/11 and has also contributed to several books on the subject. He was a founding member of the 9/11 Working Group of Bloomington and Scholars for 9/11 Truth & Justice. From 2009 to 2011, he volunteered his time as a board director at Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth. His book Another Nineteen: Investigating Legitimate 9/11 Suspects was released in 2013.

Elizabeth Woodworth

Elizabeth Woodworth is a Canadian writer who spent her career as a health sciences/environmental research librarian. After retiring from the British Columbia Ministry of Health, in 2006 she began working with Dr. David Ray Griffin, a renowned professor of religion and theology, ecophilosopher, and 9/11 scholar. Over a 15-year period, she variously provided research assistance, proof-reading, indexing, and reviewing for 12 of his books on 9/11 and U.S. imperialism.

In 2011, David and Elizabeth co-founded the 20-member 9/11 Consensus Panel, which used a best-evidence methodology to review 51 official claims regarding the events of September 11, 2001. Each of the 51 published Consensus Points received three rounds of review and feedback during an extended process in which the reviewers were blind to one another. The project took seven years to complete, culminating in the book 9/11 Unmasked, published by Olive Branch Press in 2018 and distributed by Simon and Schuster.

Elizabeth has also written several dozen essays on a range of social justice topics, including the military drills on 9/11, the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK; the Covid-19 narrative; the Trusted News Initiative; and the CO₂ crisis. She has co-authored two books on confronting climate change.

Graeme MacQueen
Deceased (1948 – 2023)

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Graeme MacQueen received his Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from Harvard University and taught in the Religious Studies department of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, for 30 years. In 1989, he became founding Director of the Centre for Peace Studies at McMaster, after which he was co-creator of peace-building projects in Sri Lanka, Gaza, Croatia, Afghanistan, and India.

After his retirement Graeme carried out research on the War on Terror, of which he was a critic. He was a member of the 9/11 Consensus Panel, a co-editor of the Journal of 9/11 Studies, and a member of the steering committee of the 2011 Toronto Hearings on 9/11. Graeme wrote numerous articles on the events of 9/11, now available in a digital volume called The Pentagon’s B-Movie. He also wrote a book on the related 2001 anthrax attacks called The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy. In addition, he produced the most detailed study to date of the October 22, 2014, shootings in Ottawa, Canada, which have been used as a pretext for the government’s inroads on the civil rights of Canadians.

Graeme was an active member of many peace organizations, including Peace Brigades International and the Alliance for Nonviolent Action. He was also an opponent of pandemic-related lockdowns and vaccine mandates. Bill Brinnier

Bill Brinnier has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Licensed to practice architecture since 1984, he worked with several architecture firms in Manhattan and now presides over a small architecture practice in the Hudson Valley. As young architecture students, Bill and his best friend — Pratt classmate Frank De Martini — watched the World Trade Center go up. Neither of them suspected that Frank would one day work there — first for Leslie E. Robinson Associates in the wake of the 1993 bombing, then, starting in 1999, as Construction Manager for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Nor did they imagine that Frank would lose his life in the North Tower on September 11, 2001, after helping dozens of occupants evacuate. After Frank’s passing, Bill dedicated himself to uncovering the truth about 9/11. Over the years, he has participated in the efforts of the New York City Coalition for Accountability Now, Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, and now the International Center for 9/11 Justice. On the 20^th anniversary of 9/11, he appeared in Episode 3 of Spike Lee’s NYC Epicenters 9/11 → 2021½, where he told the story of Frank’s heroism on 9/11 and stated that the North Tower was demolished.

Matt Campbell

Matt Campbell is the older brother of Geoff Campbell, a British citizen who was killed on September 11, 2001, while attending a Risk Waters conference on the 106^th floor of the North Tower. Since November 2001, Matt has been actively researching 9/11 and campaigning for justice for his brother by putting pressure on the authorities both in the US and the UK. In 2021, Matt’s family submitted a 2,500-page application, under the UK Coroner’s Act 1988, to the attorney general for England and Wales, requesting a new inquest into Geoff’s death. They are awaiting the attorney general’s decision, which if positive will allow them to present evidence in a UK court that the controlled demolition of the North Tower is the true cause of Geoff’s death. Matt has contributed to a number of 9/11 documentaries, including Incontrovertible, The Last Secrets of 9/11, Surviving 9/11, and The Unspeakable.

Bob McIlvaine

Bob McIlvaine is from Oreland, Pennsylvania. His 26-year-old son Bobby was killed as he was entering the lobby of the North Tower on September 11, 2001. Bob has been an outspoken advocate for a new 9/11 investigation since the release of the 9/11 Commission Report in 2004. He has participated in many initiatives and conferences over the years. In 2017, Bob helped spearhead a campaign to introduce and enact legislation named after his son — known as the Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act — which would establish a select committee in Congress to reinvestigate the destruction of the three World Trade Center towers. He has appeared in many 9/11 films, including recent documentaries The Unspeakable and Spike Lee’s NYC Epicenters 9/11 → 2021½.

Madhava Setty, MD

Madhava Setty, MD, has been a board-certified anesthesiologist since 2003. Prior to receiving his medical education and training at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Setty was an engineer in the aerospace and defense industry, where he designed software interfaces between graphics engines and real-time combat training simulation and acoustic data acquisition systems under contracts with the Bundeswehr and the Office of Naval Research. Dr. Setty holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from MIT. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he left his clinical practice to serve as the senior science editor for The Defender, the online publication of Children’s Health Defense. Dr. Setty is the author of WOKE: An Anesthesiologist’s View, a systematic examination of the bias in science, history, the media, and our own minds. He writes “An Insult to Intuition” on the Substack platform.
