However, there are many odd coincidences related to the building renovation project in progress at that time that can shed light on what happened. Details provided in Chapter 10 describe how these facts can provide answers to questions that otherwise have no reasonable explanations. Chapter 11 gives the history of two men, L. Paul Bremer and Brian Michael Jenkins, who led the national discussion about terrorism for decades prior to 9/11. It explains how they helped transform the nation’s perception of the threat of Soviet communism into a perception of a threat of Islamic terrorism. Both of these men were also closely related to aviation security policy and, in another astounding coincidence, both were intimately connected to activities at the WTC.
